I have some interest in building huge old-style-retro cabinets for propeller based games....As such, I really like the heavy-duty look-and-feel of this guy's "nes controller" .... Where can these buttons and types of joy sticks be found? See the link below:

thanx in advance to any and all that can help me source these kinds of switches/assemblies.

They also have arcade-style joysticks:

(4 way "Pac Man" style)

I have seen other places online that sell "kits" at ~100 USD (which include the joystick, buttons, and a usb or parallel interface board).· I think they are intended for PC (MAME), but could be adapted.

It's been so long I don't remember where I got the stuff though...
After I got my "real" cabinet, I stuck a Prop inside·this thing·and added some light switches for my kids!

That sounds like a pretty cool project... I keep thinking I should make my own retro game to put in an arcade cabinet. The prop is perfect for it, a simplistic game could be made really easily with the high level language and tools, and I've set up my prop to output to an old arcade monitor. My biggest problem is that even though most of the old games were simple, coming up with an idea for something that hasn't already been done (that'd still be fun) isn't easy.
