Correct VGA Schematic

Can someone please confirm for me the correct schematic for attaching a VGA port to the propeller? I note that the demo board schematic shows twin parallel resistors on some pins (470 and 240 ohm), yet the VGA accessory from parallax only comes with 240 ohm resistors.

Could anyone please clear this up or me?

Russ.

    Russ,

I assume you mean for the ProtoBoard....
The 470 ohm resistors are already on the board, they are surface mount. They then include the 240 ohm resistors in a through-hole so you can solder them on yourself if adding the VGA connector

The reason they leave some of the resistors out, when soldered in place, the 2 pin pairs would be connected with 710 ohms of resistance. Which is the reason that new users sometimes comment about adjacent LEDs on the demo board being dimly lit. If the 240 ohm resistors aren't soldered in, the 470 ohm resistors on-board are dead-ended.

Thanks, Brian. That clears that up.
