question on serial adapters

I saw in a catalog that the Prop Plug could connect "3.3 volt and 5 volt devices such as the Propeller and BASIC Stamp." I'm wondering if the Prop Plug can connect to a BASIC stamp 2 and/or a BASIC Stamp 1. I know it can connect to a Propeller chip but can it connect to any other microcontrollers?
