I put a small jumper wire from the USB +5VDC connection to pin 12 on the propstick and it works fine to power the propstick from the USB port. GREAT for traveling on the plane or while waiting to be seated in the restaurant !

How did you do this? Did you have to put in another USB plug or did you figure out some way to get at the 5V power USB power pin on the Propstick ?

    Thanks,

If you look on the schematic, you would solder a wire from Pin 1 on the USB Mini B plug to the Prostick Pin 12.

I though I would answer, Earl hasn't been around for a while.

I should have included in my last post:

    1. The USB port can only supply about 500ma of current. That is total to the Propstick and all the items you stick on the outputs.

    2. It is best to use a USB Hub between your computer and the Propstick, as it is better to replace a Hub than a Mother Board.

    I just bought a USB 2.0 Hub for $9.00.
