Cheap Mini-Din/PS2 connectors for your Prop ==[RESTOCK: 400 MORE 8-PIN CONNECT

This is so unlike me to use the forum as a means of selling something, but I have found a way that I can get a payload of Mini-Din connectors for dirt-cheap. The problem: what am I going to do with 1,000 Mini-Din connectors? I figured that I would take up the offer to get them if I had some people that would take them off my hands. devil.gif

The point is that if I am charging too much you can haggle with me and get away with just about anything. (I would really like to pay off the mini-din's with the money I make with selling half of them) I am not in this for profit, so if I get enough orders to make profit I will throw in some extras with each order. Trade in other electronics is acceptable with me as means of currency. I do not have the mechandice in my hands, but I will buy it if I get a couple of orders within the next 24 hours. (MUST be in the next 24 hours)

Thank you and once agian forgive me for selling this on the forum, but I have no one to give it away to. smile.gif

I'm 14 years old, and everyone else in my family acts like I speak a different language when I talk about electronics, so no; I won't be coming to any expo. (Although I REALLY wish I could)
It's a good deal for me. I going to get them for about two cents each, so that makes it great.

If it dosn't bother you, I could just ship you 950 of them to sell at the expo, if you want too.

@jazzed: That is the exact copy of the one's I am selling.

The ones am selling can interface wiht the Gadget Gangster Boss Board (I am hoping to get a big order from him) And I already got an order from uController that is large so as soon as I get permission from my parents I will bid. This might end up being the best investment ever!

"I'm 14 years old"

OMG! you are 7 years younger than me and probably know more about controllers.
Now I feel slow... at 14 I had no clue about anything technical.

BTW I have been watching the same item you are going to bid on.
I will stand aside and let you buy them...hope you are the only bidder.
Eeek...to late, someone in Rock Falls has placed a bid...oh oh.

I didn't want anyone to know the source of my connectors, and I pray that partsman### dosn't know what we are talking about, he just made an order of 100 of them for $20!!
No one else has made a bid, just me.

No, I figured it out. But my offer still stands. I won't try to "skip the middleman"

If at 14, you are seeing a value like this and recognizing the potential. You'll go far in life.

and it sure beats what I can buy them for at Mouser

How nice of you! Oh, and thank you very much parts-man73 for not "skipping the middleman" as you pharase it. I always refrain from telling my age in forum disscussions because I think that I will be treated differently, but I felt that I had to this time or someone would ask why I couldn't make it to the expo.
Trust me, if there was any light on me going to UPENE I would try sooooo hard to go.
Thank you for buying the product, parts-man73, but now no one else will most likely.

P.S. If you send me a·Serial Keypad from uController·I will send you an extra 150 connectors in addition to your current order.smile.gif

Keep them safe, I might need to refresh my stock in a few months.

I'll share a similar experience...True story.

2 years ago, the Central AC system at my home stopped working. I grabbed my multi-meter and the schematic and proceeded to probe around inside. The compressor was getting full voltage, but wasn't starting. There was a Compressor Start Relay that I thought may be the culprit.

Armed with the part # on the relay, I started searching the internet for a supplier. Everyone on the internet was charging over $100 for this part. I searched Ebay though, and found someone selling a case of 100 for only $50, including the shipping. I didn't need 100 of them, but $50 vs $100 made the decision easy.

Bad news is, it didn't fix my AC, the compressor was seized, but the good news is, I started selling these on EBay for $5 each, I've made my money back on the relays plus a $450 profit.

Don't tell me you are sitting at that low bid as your maximum?!?

Increase the bid right now to at least $20

Some last second sniper could swoop in on you.
Your bid won't increase unless someone else bids..
And they look like a super bargain at $20 + shipping to me.

I just love to bargain shop!

Everyone will understand if someone out bids and you don't get the parts.

It's always best to wait till you have the parts in hand...but of course I understand
you needed to know if people were going to want some.

You could always in future run a bargain by some of the regulars here by PM... they will
tell you if an item will be hot.

Any profit you make can be plowed back into more bargains...a dollar here...a dollar
there, and soon you are talkin real money smile.gif

I'd have been too scared at 14 to even contemplate buying a bunch of surplus parts on the web...you rule smile.gif

I believe the auction is done and he won smile.gif

Now he can start handling orders.
I recommend USPS Priority mail.
Go to the post office for the little free shipping boxes.

I have never been so pleased to let a bargain slip by.
Glad he posted about it or I would have bid.
I search for needed items every few days.
Saw this one come up and also some really cheap vga sockets.

Can you post a link to the auction? I was too busy today to try and search.

Yes, USPS Prioity Mail is the way to go in most cases. I did ebay auctions for a living for two years and the saving in free boxes was astronomical. And it gets most places in two-three days. I would routinley ship a buyer in Hawaii and he received his packages in 4 days max. Well it used to be $3.85 back then. But new prices aren't too bad. I'll pay them.

Here are the din sockets he just won.

Here are the vga sockets I was looking at.
Decided they were not enough of a bargain at .10 each for 400.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=220424345191

But I'm watching 3 other items that are super bargains....not sure what I would do with so many though.

Just my $0.02 about deals of a life time... About a year ago, I wanted to start getting into stepper motors, so I probed around on ebay for some good deals. Well, I ended up finding a deal, but not the $10-$15 deal I was looking for - instead $400. The lot was about 120 NEMA 23 stepper motors, and GOBS upon GOBS of other steppers, planetary gear drives, and a bunch of different motors. The guy was only 3 hours away in Austin, so I made a little trip down there(visited with my bro there too). Not only was everything just as he described in the auction, but he ended up throwing in an 18" linear screw drive, two LARGE servo motors(about 10lbs each), and a few other stuff.

I estimated the total value in excess of $1200. I still have over 100 of those NEMA 23's on my shelves, but it was just a deal I couldn't pass up on. Moral of the story: When you find a good deal, GRAB IT! :)

P.S. I'd like 50 of the connectors.

Well, Holly, I came back to do just that; raise the bid max to $20. The auction was going to go out in 10 minutes so I wanted to be there to assure that someone didn't outbid me. I go down to the computer and the internet had gone out!
The entire system was down, I couldn't connect with the laptop, my Palm Pilot, or even my dad's Blackberry and his Blackberry uses the cellphone singnal's internet and not our WiFi. I just found out that I won. It is a BIG relief.

This should become more of a hobby to support my other hobby!

Thanks for your orders and support!

P.S. @OleManEarl: I'll give you 100 connectors per protoboard. As I said earlier, I will take electronics as trade for connectors.
