Code For AD7823 ?

Anyone have any code for a BS2 series stamp to get serial data from an AD7823. I have tried a number of things without success. I have the AD7823 interfaced with a BS2 using only a 220ohm resistor between the three connections. I can see the clock pulses from the pulsout command, and have tried a manual bit-bang, but just get zeros all the time. Any ideas ?
