MIT Electronics Flea Market finds!
![xanatos](https://forums.parallax.com/uploads/userpics/416/n3HKAG8I3I8DH.jpg)
Just returned from the MIT Electronics Flea Market in Cambridge, MA, and I have SCORED!· So much so, that I am making some of my bounty available to folks here on the forum, free of charge, if you can really use this item.
I am making available here as a way of offering back something for the folks who make this forum so valuable:· 2500 digital potentiometers in 8 pin SMT packages!
The reel is marked "IC DIGIPOT 32 TAP 50K ISOP8", and is dated 9/29/08.· The chips themselves are marked as follows:
ABE
330
I have been unable to find a datasheet for these items, but I am assuming the reel is correctly marked.· I can find nothing on Google for these items, hopefully someone on here will recognize the numbers.
If anyone can verify what these are - especially posting a datasheet so that folks - myself included - can figure out how to use these with our stamps, etc., it would be great.· Once we know for certain what these are, PM me and I will give you my mailing address - and if I receive a self-addressed, stamped envelope, I will send you 10 of these items, potentially more if you make a compelling case! :-)
And for those of you lucky enough to be able to get to the MIT Flea Market - it is SO worth it!· I drive about 1:15 each way.· Today I spent $8.00 and got well over $1000.00 worth of stuff - all new, SMT stuff on reels.· Just the one reel of 1000 green SM LEDs was worth 10x what I paid for the whole lot.·
I hope these are usable for folks.· Happy stampin'!

If you look at the bottom of the data sheet, it describes your ABE chip markings.
ABE = MCP4011
Thats the best I could do, but I saw nothing about the 330 number. im guessing it just means the resistance is 330ohm or something.
Thanks for the info!

There's nothing like a new idea and a warm soldering iron.
Sounds like you got reels of good bargains.
A cheap programmable resistance value seems really useful...
I wonder if the resistance remains where you set it even after
a power off/on cycle.
BTW, the MIT Flea market has a web page if anyone is thinking about going: http://www.mitflea.com/
Third Sunday of the month, April through October. I'm going again in August or September.
