Does anybody know a reasonable price ultrasound sensor that can send sound then go through the thin object (like paper or plastic paper)?

I'm trying to find an ultrasound sensor that can send sound through the object (thin object like paper). I am trying to measure the distance between two objects (eg paper) by letting the sensor does the work. First I place 1st object(eg paper) in front of the sensor. Then I place the 2nd object (eg paper) at some close distance behind the 1st object. By placing the sensor very close to the 1st object. The sound goes through the 1st object until it hits the 2nd object then it bounces back to the receiver of the sensor. Then the distance is calculated by microcontroller.


Ultrasound pulses out ..> 1st object ............> 2nd object
.
Sensor <....1st object......<.. . 2nd object


The distance that is looking for is the distance between the 1st object and 2nd object, not the distance b/w sensor.

Nothing Parallax has will do this. You might look into using a depth guage used on boats or a 'fish finder'
