Connect the battery to the SX28

I want to connect the battery to my prodction board using·the SX28, but I have the following questions:
- Should I connect the + to the Vdd and the - to he Vss?
- Can I connect the battery directly to the Vdd(+) and Vss(-)?

I apologize if these questions sound very basic, I just want to be sure.

If the battery is 5 volts or less, then YES you can connect it directly (+) to Vdd and (-) to Vss.
