So I got the uoled-96-prop and plugged it in and it ran a nice little demo
Then I loaded the attached programs onto the uloed-96-prop, these are the demos from 4d systems web site. Once they were loaded nothing worked. So then I went on obex and tried loading some of those programs onto the thing, and nothing. I was wondering if anyone knew of a possible reason from past experience other wise I will continue to try and figure it out. I am currently not using a memory card, in the programs I have seen it does not seem to be required so I do not see why that would be problem. Thanks!

OH well I figured out my problem. I had it on 3.3 volts which worked with the demo program, but does not seem to work with the file that is attached above. Anyways I just hooked up 5v and it works with above program, pretty cool, thanks!

You may have a newer unit that has a different crystal frequency... You need to adjust the code to match. I think the new units use a 10MHz crystal where the old ones used an 8MHz crystal (?)

Never mind, sounds like you got it...

Just make sure you·include the INT, Power UP and Power Down routines in·your code. Not including these will sometimes render the display dead...forever!

    Don't ask me how I know.tongue.gif

But·my "dead ones"·still work as a Prop with 4 I/O's and an SD card interface even after the display failed. Getting some use out of them.

The one I just go in has an 8MHZ crystal and it runs fine with the 16pll. I have not tried anything beyond the sample code so that is all the testing it has so far. I have been turning of and on power and it is still working for me. Hopefully that continues.

You'll find it will run fine at 128 MHz until you try using another cog...· Then it stops working.

I have some info and code on that device here:
