16x1 LCD Code...

I need some code for a 16x1 LCD....· It's the AC161B module.· I got the datasheet, and it just confused me even more...· How would I go about displaying some characters on the LCD?

Vaati its a parallel interface , it also looks like you are going to need a negative voltage as well
there is some code for the basic stamp but it only works in 4 bit mode from what I can see here you are going to need all 8 data bits
Rayman is the resident expert on displays maybe he will jump in or you can ask him
Vaati I have included a drawing that show one of way of getting the bias voltage you might not have to use a negative voltage after all it not clear to me it looks like on your data sheet it was offered as an option.
