SCP1000 pressure sensor

Ken Gracey at Parallax mention a new pressure sensor module under construction, in another thread here. Will this sensor be suitable for measuring atmospheric pressure? I am currently looking for a good and cheap sensor for my weather staion project.

Yes. It will measure up to 120 kPa (17.4 psi), and down to 30 kPa, which will easily cover the range of atmospheric pressures on the ground (and up to 30,000 feet).
