THERMOCOUPLE 1 WIRE KIT. To big

I am looking into installing ( 2) 1 wire-thermocouple kits on my stamp. Here is the problem,·I dont have a very sound knowledge of 1 wire applications.· From looking through the example code, it appears that it takes almost all of the ram and 50% or so of the epprom. I can see a few areas to reduce the code, but am unsure of how much. My current program is rather large, and having that much ram taken up buy this application is unacceptable. My range of temp will be F only and from about·600 F·- 1800 F. therfore i am able to get rid of some of the tables.·

Is there a better workaround for reducing ram variables, in a thermocouple 1 wire situation? should i be sending some of this to the scratchpad? (havent mastered that aspect either.)

Has anyone reduced this code to something a litte more·acceptable in an actual application?

Thanks,

Yes, if you have scratchpad RAM on your stamp then use that. The purpose of Scratchpad is to do the very function you want.
