    Greetings Willem,

    I am so sorry you are having this experience!

    I am taking action; I will send a private message shortly. Believe me, we would not intentionally ignore you, we value every one of our customers, but no system or person is perfect and something must have gone awry with communications.·For example, it is possible your emails are being caught in our spam filter for some reason, it happens once in a while with international emails.

    Thank you for not giving up, and trying this alternative method of contact!

    I can second that sentiment. I requested a purchase be shipped via USPS because it was $2 cheaper... The box arrived torn open, and literally, trash inside of it. The Post Office asked if it was insured, and took no responsibility for it.

    I emailed Parallax, wanting to place a duplicate order and took responsibility for having it shipped USPS instead, BUT they shipped me a replacement order instead - no charge.

    Willem,

    I'm willing to bet there was a problem with e-mail, somewhere. Our spam filter is best at blocking business and friends sometimes. And if we have received your messages and not replied, that's absolutely not the response we want to give to a customer, so we'll see that our communication ties are repaired.

    In the meantime, if you are not already connected with us try my non-Parallax e-mail kgracey2001@yahoo.com.

    Sincerely,

    Ken Gracey

    As a small business person I've tried to take a few Parallax examples to heart.
    Parallax = Top Shelf Product & Service. It doesn't get much better.

    Ken, even though I technically have an email in myname@companyiworkfor.com form, I never use it and have my personal yahoo account on my business cards for just this reason. Companies like Yahoo, Google, and Microsoft have the resources to stay on top of spam lists and malware scans. Our company's smaller ISP is really bad about just accepting public spam lists blindly and being unable to react when we ask them to whitelist a customer. We also constantly have problems both with our ISP and our customers who configure their own email with crazy rules blocking legitimate attachments. At this point I would never go back to SMTP based mail; next week I will be in Canada and I'm not taking my computer, but I will be able to read my email.

    @localroger:

    At serious risk of hijacking this thread...
    I forward my business account into my gmail. Done it for years and love it.
    Got many small business clients doing the same thing.

    @OBC I don't think it's a serious hijack, it's kind of what the thread is about. At first our new ISP had a working web interface for myname@company, and I used that for a couple of weeks and then they "upgraded" the servers and then suddenly the web interface didn't work any more, either on IE6 (Windows 2000 on my main work machine so IE7 wasn't a possibility) or on the most recent Firefox. So I set up forwarding. After the tenth or so mail that didn't get forwarded, I went into my boss's office and informed him that my email was henceforth the yahoo account, let everyone know and don't argue. (Yes I can get away with that. I'm pretty good at what I do, though I have to say at this point the ongoing impression I have that I'm the smartest person in the room will probably end if I ever meet Chip Gracey.)

    Of course I realize that Parallax have a bit bigger problem since using Yahoo for your business e-mail in an e-commerce context looks a little unprofessional to retail customers. All I can suggest is having the freemail backup visible on all correspondence as an "alternative." Most people will ignore things like that but people who are getting desperate might try them and get through.

    Gmail will host email with your own domain. Not sure if there is a charge though.

    @mctrivia

    I did that very same thing when I needed a website, I got a google domain @$10 a year, and love it. I have that email account forward it right to my regular gmail account and it works great. Also, it is a lot simpler to make a decent-looking webpage in Google Page Creator than any other method Iv'e tried.

    i like having full control over my server(even if it is a virtual server on a cluster of thousands). I am not to good at the graphics side but I have even programed some AIs in PHP.

    aigamez.com

    I do use gmail though for all my email addresses though now. It has by far the best system out there and even works with blackberry push email.
