DS1302 Woes - Solved

Hey Folks,
I've been trying with little success to use the DS1302.
I've been using this object (http://obex.parallax.com/objects/89/).
I can set the time, then I comment the line that sets the time and restart the propeller.
The minutes & seconds keep even with power loss, but not the hours (it becomes zero).
If you let it go (with the zero hour) it will eventually increment the hour, but again upon reset it looses the hour value.
It does keep the Month/Day/Year/DOW data as well.
I have also tried another DS1302 with the same results.
I have a CR2032 connected with the DS1302 for bat backup.
Any ideas what I could be doing wrong?
****UPDATE****
After going through the data-sheet, it says that Hours data must be re-initialized whenever the AM/PM setting is changed, I commented this setting in the config portion of the object and no hours loss !!!
Thanks,
Rick
