Propstick USB with P8X32A-Q44

edited 2009-06-19 04:19 in Propeller 1
Hello guys, I'm new here..
I'm Feri, Undergraduate Student from Indonesia.

I'm looking for help with these questions

1. Can I make my own Propstick USB using Q44 type of Propeller Microprocessor?

2. Where I can get the Eagle library file for Parallax propeller microchip?
I had downloaded parallax propeller library from eagle download page, but the schematic is different with the microchip.

3. Where I can download the eagle library files for PropStick USB?

Thanks for your help.

    Welcome.

    Answers to questions:

    1. Yes, you can make anything you want to. Q44 might need a multilayer board for routing.

    2. Eaglecad (cadsoft.de) has a library of DIP40 and LQFP Propeller chips. I did not see the QFN but it should be fairly easy to edit the LQFP version.

How different is your library? microprocessor schematics do not match the chip layout. You can fix that in Eaglecad if you want.

    3. Propstick USB is a commercial Parallax product and I would guess a proprietary design. I don't know of anyone that has emulated one. Maybe some one has. I would like to point out it may be cheaper to just buy one. Of course this doesn't mean to discourage you from creating one of your own design.

propmod_us and propmod_1x1 are now in stock. Only $30. PCB available for $5

Need to upload large images or movies for use in the forum. you can do so at uploader.propmodule.com for free.

two cents to Paralax: why not·include the chip files in the propeller distribution zip? They're as tiny as a spin file.
