Stop Dreaming

Hi Guys,

One of the most exciting new features in the new RobotBASIC V4.0.0, besides the
compiling ability and the extensive event driven GUI controls, is the ability to
create INTERNET projects.

RobotBASIC has a very easy to use interface that facilitates a communication
link between networked computers over a LAN or through the Internet. With just a
handful of functions you can implement a bidirectional communication conduit
between two or more networked computers using either the Transmission Control
Protocol or the User Datagram Protocol.

With RobotBASIC's collection of TCP and UDP functions even the novice programmer
can easily implement a whole range of interesting projects that would otherwise
challenge an expert even with advanced development tools.

Imagine being able to collect instrumentation data on a PC in Australia and
sending the data to a machine in the USA for display purposes and for parameter
settings and so forth.

Imagine being able to text chat with a friend in Australia while you are in the
USA. Yes, yes; you can do that on numerous web sites. But think of the pleasure
of writing the program that can do this, yourself.

Imagine remotely controlling a robot in Australia through a PC in the USA. Also
sending snap shots of the robot's environment to the controller side.

STOP IMAGINING…………You can do all the above RIGHT NOW.

The above three projects were achieved (notice the past tense) using demo
programs you can download, read through the source code and run RIGHT NOW.

The following document is the guide you will need to learn all about this
EXCITING feature of RobotBASIC.

Download the document and let it show you the amazing new possibilities for
projects you never thought you could do with just over 100 lines of simple code.

Happy coding…

Samuel this program just keeps getting better and better!!! Thanks for posting the communications for the Propeller Chip because I am using this in the Elvinator Project. Now if only you can get RB to compile the program and download it into the Propeller that would be even better just because I am trying to learn spin and brushing up again on my Assembly coding. But even still with the PC communication this is just what I needed for the A.I. of the Elvinator. Thanks again and keep up the great work on this wounderfull program.

BTW when is the new book coming out or did I just miss when it was released.

Thank you Jax very very much for the kind words and for your support.
    I appreciate it a lot.

Sorry I have not replied earlier, but I was busy with writing a new PDF
to do with using the USBmicro USB I/O device within RobotBASIC and I put a
mental note to reply to your post and since my "mental" is not as it
used to be, the note just went under too many other notes and it got
    obscured.
    ·
Yes there is a book coming soon hopefully. No you did not miss it
it is still in the works.
    ·
I am in the process of writing a few PDF white papers to make people more
aware of and familiar·with the features in the new version of RobotBASIC V4.0.0.
    ·
However, many of these PDF will also be included in the book with more
    rigorous treatment and examples.
    ·
The Interfacing book will be out hopefully, maybe, if things go well, keeping my fingers
crossed, knocking on wood··tongue.gif· in September or October......but no promises·rolleyes.gif··
    ·
In the mean time keep an eye out for a few PDFs that I hope are interesting????
