Propeller USB Prototype board

Anyone know what the voltage rating of the input capacitor on the USB Prototype board?
I plan to run this board off "12VDC" vehicle power which may be as high as 15 VDC.
The regulator is not a problem, but I don't know the voltage rating of the input capacitor.
I realize I could install an additional regulator to limit the voltage to a lower value, but would like to avoid that if it is not necessary.
Thanks,
Sigurd, aka KJ1K

How much current are you planning on drawing? If it's more than a little (50ma?) then you'll need to add another regulator or two to step down the voltage. Otherwise, it's dropping 7-10 volts.
Therefore, you will need to add a 10uF 25V(minimum) electrolytic capacitor to the input (after the switch).
How much current is your board drawing because heat may be a factor? Don't forget to use an inline fuse.

EDIT -- Verified with ohmmeter that both of those tantalum caps are across the regulator outputs, not inputs.· The 10 uF cap between VinSw and Gnd does not seem to be installed.
