I looked at the Parallax site to see the compatability, but why is this chip not say it's compatable with the PROPELLER?

It probably just has not been updated yet. It does require that you supply 5V to the compass.

Jen,

I saw the link to the OBEX for sensors. Up in the features and description, it still doesn't list the Propeller. This might help folks with out a fuller knowledge of the sensor's capabilities.
