Intel International Science and Engineering Fair Results

Hey all,
I know it might seem strange to be posting the results of Intel ISEF 2009 in the Propeller forum, but there is a reason.

My project, titled The Practical Utilization of Wireless Protocol and Swarm Mentality to Improve Overall Efficiency and Effectiveness in Autonomous Robot Platforms, won two awards at the fair. It won an award of $8000 from the Navy/Marine Corps for the best electrical/mechanical engineering project. Additionally, the project won an award of $2000 from United Technologies.

For all three robots in my swarm, I used the Propeller protoboard, which is why I posted this in the propeller forum.

I would like to thank all of you who·supported and helped·me when I had questions (and there were many). It was very much appreciated.

Thanks again,
Carl Lawhon

Do you have a link to a project website? Photos? What sort of project is this (HS, Undergrad, Grad)? Do you have a project writeup that you can post?

    Congratulations Carl!

Proud as punch is correct! In fact, we'd really enjoy having you as part of our Winner's Circle at http://www.parallax.com/tabid/359/Default.aspx.

If you're interested, we'll post your project photos and description on this page in exchange for more hardware or $200 cash - your choice!

To do this, just drop me a message to kgracey@parallax.com.

    Sincerely,

    Ken Gracey
