Have any of you connected the Nintendo Game Pad Controller onto a breadboard?

Can it be done somehow? If so, how did you do it?

Thanks!

About halfway down the page is the NES Controller adapter board that I sell. The right-angle header is expressively for connecting to a breadboard. Inside of the NES controller is a simple shift register. You simply "Latch" the data, and shift it out with the clock and data pins.

    Brian,

if you happen to see this... I'm looking into using the Nintendo Game Pad Controller for controlling a device via a Prop.

There seem to be several versions (or maybe not?) ... This is the·controller I mean:

    http://www.parallax.com/Store/Accessories/AllAccessories/tabid/759/CategoryID/33/List/0/SortField/0/catpageindex/3/Level/a/ProductID/528/Default.aspx

Was just looking at·your SpinStudio NES adaptor you mention here... and it's PDF doc on your·site.

Is the controller meant for your board and the controller in Jeff's Prop Cookbook·the same as the one at that Parallax link above?

    thanks for the assistance!

    - Howard
