I had a mishap with a BS2SX OEM board Kit either a bad regulator or a bad cap a

When I use the RUN Identify icon it would not see the Basic Stamp SX Board

I though that a little weird that amp meter was showing 70 milliamp

When I do a Basic Stamp Board kit it only 10· millamps just the board only

So UN hook it real fast and check the VDD pin and found 8 volts where· I···should have 5 volts

That was real·bad·but I had two more kit so put a 7805 regulator and now I··have 5 volts

and ran··· RUN· .......···Identify···did not see it so I·put the other Basic Stamp SX chip and The EROM Chip

and· RUN......... Identify still did not see the board


· So I called Parallax Tech Support and talked to Joshua


They told me to try this and still did now work then try this

So the Tech ask me if had the newest VER of the editor


and I told I did·....................

Well I did on the Desk Top··Computer that was not the one·I·used to down load the Pbasic Code

It·was the Lap Top Computer that I was using to down load the code with

One I down Load The Newest Ver To my Laptop and another new board I was rocking and Rollen· · ........·...........



I want to Thank·Joshua· For all the help that he gave me ..........>>>>>>>

With his Help on the Phone I was able to see the Basic Stamp SX

Joshua also when the extra mile and put a Basic Stamp SX board togeher him self to see if there where any problem on there end
