How hard would it be. . .

Lets say I have a nice Propeller proto board, the Ping sensor, and the VGA and PS/2 Mouse/Keyboard accessory kit.
How hard would it be to talk the propeller into displaying the Ping))) sensors' data on the VGA monitor in an old "RADAR" type display?
With the Ping))) sensor mounting bracket, attached servo and all, I think it would be a neat little object.

Has anyone done something like this?
If so, sorry.
If not, what exactly would I need to study in the propeller manual to be able to pull it off?
I guess I just knocked off that I'm a total Propeller newb, but hey, ya gotta start somewhere, right?

I have something like that using the TV and graphics object. But I never did try it with the VGA object

Do you have any screen shots of what it looks like?
I'm not asking for your code, but if you want to share it, I'd be honored to study it.
My idea is to have a nice little LCD mounted to the back of a robot that showed if it detected anything in it's forward path, and eventually have it hooked up with Xbee to transmit the data back to my computer.

Kind of like the old Atari Battlezone game but with real rolling bots.

    You're aware of Ping))Dar, right?

It's a BS2-DEBUG-based version of what you're talking about. You may find the source code helpful.

I was not aware of this, it seems to be a very good stepping stone into what I was looking for.
I guess if would have searched a little better I would have found it. idea.gif

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
