Is this true? if so,when does this come in the store?

    Robban,

There is a sensor similar to the one you are referring to; however it is still in the R&D phases so a release date has not been determined.

    Thank you for your patience,

    Robban,

Yes, we have one in the final stages of qualification right now. Please see below. The finished product will not utilize the 3-pin header - it will have a wiring harness integrated to the design. The conformal coating will make it more resistant to humidity and wet environments. The following graphic is taken from a distributor webinar we conducted in April. We have slid from the August delivery date, but we're trying today to make up for loss time.

Sign Me up for one of the Ping-H2Os

I've been using shrink wrap for a couple of years now or maybe longer to keep the water out of My non water tolerant Ping. The shrink wrap does'nt last long either. I was just about to build a contraption with a shutter and rain detector and a bunch of code mods to the BS2 just to handle the lite water splash from rain.

This sounds like just the thing for My gate opener and any other out door projects.

I can also see some nice Industrial applications too.

Is this water resistant or can it be completely submerged?

Ugha, water resistant is our design goal.

Rutcgr18, the most recent prototype was working to nearly 3 meters. We've improved the range significantly with a 70V driving circuit.

Within ten days I'll know a bunch more about this sensor. We decided to do another proto.

    Thanks, Ken Gracey

Yes! They're on the Pick and Place this week! After that, they're sent out for conformal coating and then they'll be ready for sale.

    Dear MrPys,

We've experienced some late design troubles on the product which will delay the release for a significant time. At this point we have no release date in sight.

And also... Does that transducer work alone or should be used paired with another one like your ping sensor? Thanks
