I have seen the previous posts on this thing, And I was wondering if anyone has tried to use this thing like a "mouse" for a robot. I am adding it to my project and probably will not be a able to get to it for a while or forever for that matter...but I was thinking about getting it, putting it to low resolution mode and using a cog to get a frame then compare it to the next one to see if the frame had shifted. This could possibly give some sort of distance traveled...as long as the camera remained level. I am planning on making a UAV and I would like to have one of these pointed down at the ground to keep track of x,y movement, along with inertial sensors of course. But anyways I was just wondering if someone has been working on something like this or if anyone thinks there is enough memory on board to do something like this without a memory card.

I think this thing is done in the viewport software with an NTSC camera and an ADC, I was just checking to see if anyone was doing something like this with this camera module.
