Looking for joystick links...

No...this isn't a request for porn....I am looking for a good quality, PC mount joystick with more resolution then 5K ohms.· Would like a push down feature of the joystick for a switch.· I am presently breadboarding with a 5K ohm, thumb operated unit, but I find that it is to coarse for operation with the HB25.· Trying to avoid jack rabbit starts.

Once again...Thank to all for reading and·any links...DenO·

    · You can always use the Stamp to "ramp up" the signal to the HB-25 thereby avoiding wear and tear of quick starts.

    · I did this with and HB25 on a kid's electric car and it worked like a charm even though the joystick was an 8-position switch-only model.

    · Cheers

Most joysticks out there have micro switches like these: www.sparkfun.com/commerce/product_info.php?products_id=9136

Thank to all for the reply...the Sparkfun, thumb joystick is just like the one I have been breadboarding with, except it has 10K ohm pots, instead of 5k ohm pots.· This will give me better resolution....thanks again.

Hey everyone…I am sometimes amazed at the parallels between what customers and forum members are discussing and what we at Parallax are working on. I noticed this thread and thought, how ironic. We’re working on bringing a breadboard-ready joystick to our customers soon. Hopefully the 2-pin headers will help give you a perspective of the scale/size. This is definitely something you could operate with your thumb. =)

    Deno, they are approximately 10K/axis.
