current rating on the BoE power switch?

In poking around learning about switches, etc. I've noticed that most small switches like the one used on the BoE for power control are rated around 200mA (here's one example: http://www.sparkfun.com/commerce/product_info.php?products_id=102) which seems to limit their usefulness as a whole-project power switch. The on-board regulator of the BoE is rated around 1A. What's the current rating of the BoE's power switch? If the switch's rating is a lot less than 1A doesn't that become the current consumption limit for the entire board?

The switch can handle 1 amp which is sufficent for the on board regulator.·

    kind regards,
