If you use Post Reply rather than Quick Reply you should be able to use lots of different fonts. I tried it in the Test Forum just to be sure and it seems to work here.
Sorry, that reply probably didn't help you much, I thought FireFox was a font and not a different browser. I have no experience with FireFox and have no idea on how this forums looks like there.

A bit like changing font sizes. I have my browser set up with a specific default font size for readability on my particular screen (which is very small at quite a high resolution). When people specify larger font sizes in the forums it tends to make the rendering somewhat disjointed and often not worth the pain to read.
Just write clearly and coherently and leave the formatting for plonkers with flashing tags in their E-mail [noparse]:)[/noparse]
