I got half way through a protoboard when I realized that quasi is human operated.

But seriously, we (members of this forum) have an important role to play. Less and less people are technical enough to understand today's world. This makes it easy for certain people to scam others- either on a small scale by promising/selling products that don't work, or on a bigger by making huge bets on the wrong technology. If we see something that's not quite right, we should dig deeper and expose the truth.

Here's my thought for the day: According to Scientific American: "The grain required to fill a 25-gallon SUV tank with ethanol could feed one person for a year."

If the Protoboard/Turing doesn't make sense to you, let me explain:

Dr. Gouge and his colleague MAllred made some pretty incredible claims on this board- mainly that they had solved the holy grail of artificial intelligence with their wirewrapped Protoboard memory expander which they were selling for $1600. I issued the challenge: "If your Propeller based device can pass the official Turing test I'll eat a ProtoBoard!". As you can follow on this very dramatic thread, many others shared my skepticism:
I just came across this: What is the Forum's opinion/analysis/impressions?

Thankfully, we as a community are collaborating on an even better way of accessing large amounts of data with the Propeller- see here:
    Bursting data to/from Cog RAM

I hear they're going to be the main ingredient in McDonald's new snack, the Wire Wrap.

It'd be more nutritious than anything else they've offered to date!
