Parallax RFID reader - How to read multiple tags simultaneously?

Is there a way to read multiple tags simultaneously? Perhaps thru a clever software algorithm??

    That wouldn't work. In this system the RFID Reader emits a sigal on a specific frequency which is picked up by the tags, energizes them and allows them to transfer the tag ID to the reader. If there were multiple tags present they would all try to do this at the same time and there is no way the reader could hande this. It must be done one tag at a time. As a note, multiple readers will generally interfere with each other if they are in close proximity to each other.
