3.3 volt to 5 volt IC

I have been looking all over for a 3.3 volt to 5 volt buffer to put between the propeller and another device. I know that a resistor will work, but has some company made an IC that can buffer between the 2 voltages?

I searched Google but think I am wording it incorrectly. Voltage buffer? 3.3 - 5 V buffer ? Any help will be appreciated.

There is a long thread on interfacing between 3.3V logic and 5V logic with lots of suggestions and links to information.
It's one of the "sticky" threads in the Propeller Forum list called "Propeller: Getting Started and Key Thread Index" under the topic Technical Considerations.

Texas Instruments (TI) have some interesting bidirectional IC's specifically for this. I haven't used them. There may be other brands

    Try searching for these terms
