Scribbler Motor Running without Program Command
Hey Everone,
I am running a Scribbler Robot Camp this week. It is the first of three.
Yesterday, we played with the demo programs. Everybody's Scribbler worked fine. Today,·we began programming·with the GUI. One student downloaded the first example - lighting the LEDs. When·he did the right wheel began to spin (not full speed, but pretty fast). I reloaded the demo program. I checked his program - it was only the LED on/off between the Program Start and Program End. We downloaded again the the right wheel began to spin again.
We have some spare·Scribblers and I will give him a new one tomorrow. Any ideas why the Scribbler might do this? Or should I just contact Technical Support?
The Camp is going well and the student are loving the Scribbler! This is my only glitch so far - so I guess I should consider myself lucky!
Thanks for any help!·

Did other Scribblers have this problem with the same program, or just the one? Did the problem persist with any other programs that didn't specifically involve the motors?

Thanks for the quick reply. No other Scribbler had the problem. We downloaded the same program (differnt computers) to the other Scribblers and they worked as expected. It was one Scribbler and it consitently did this on two seperated computers via the GUI.
I've never seen a problem like this.

Okay, this sounds like a hardware problem then. A call to Parallax tech support is going to be your best option.
