Here is some spin code for the Sparkfun.com 6DOF board. It is fairly cheap at $124 and it is a serial device at 115200 k baud.
I have posted 3 files. One to be used as a subroutine, one for running the device in ASCII mode with printout on TV and the other is running the device in BINARY mode with printout on TV.
