Yes, the 40-pin DIP Prop fits nicely into the socket where it's supposed to.

That's right ... No way!!!

The PDB is for the Stamps and the SX. The PPDB is for the Propeller.

Thats right, the Professional Developer Board is a 5V item with Basic stamp 40 pin slot and an SX slot (which is inconveniently on the left). The propeller professional develop. board is 3.3V for the chip (with 5V if needed for components.) and the pins are for the prop with a nice slot for a resonator and an EEPROM. I've got both and really like them, but I don't mix the prop on to the older board because I don't want to fry my prop.

Nope. That's for Stamps, Javelins, and SX chips, as the directions tell you. It's not just a matter of the voltage difference: the pinouts for the Stamp vs. Propeller are entirely different. That's why there's a PDB for the Prop.
