Computer connection problem!!! [FIXED]

I am having a problem of connecting the propeller (through the HYDRA board) to the computer. I am using the onboard USB to serial converter but it does not work. When you plug it in the TX and RX light flash quickly back and fourth. The computer pops up a message saying "USB Device not recognized" I have an SX key and it works on the same computer. When you plug it in it says "USB to Serial converter detected". It then finds the driver to run on it and it works correctly. I have reinstalled the drivers, reinstalled the Propeller Tool, and updated the current USB Drivers. I have tryed everything including replacing the crystal, EEPROM, and the Propeller, and it still doesn't work.
Help would be greatly appreciated.

The RX / TX light flashing is a result of the PC and the USB chip talking back and forth like "who are you?" "I'm such and such an FT232" "OK, here's some configuration data". If the PC says USB Device not recognized, either the PC's driver is bad or the USB cable is bad or something is broken in the USB converter chip. The Propeller, EEPROM, and crystal don't get into the act at all until later.

You've tried new drivers. Try a different USB cable. If that doesn't work, I'd suggest calling Parallax tech support.

It works fine on another computer, and the only thing that isn't the same is the cable! I will try it out.
