RFID Cable

I have the serial RFID that Parallax sells and wanted to know a good place to get the 4 conductor cable to make the RFID not have to be on the board.· Or what the 4 pin connector (Flat) one is called to order some.· It would be rediculous to order 2 10 cent connectors and pay $10 S/H.

·Also for Parallax this might be a nice item to carry along with the three pin flat cables.

If you're always going to have the reader enabled you could just tie the EN pin to ground (or 5V, I don't remember). Then you could use a standard servo extension cable.

I am not going to have the reader enabled all the time to preserve power.· It will only be enabled when a set of conditions happen.

You could probably use a transistor (at the BS2) to turn the 5V on and off, and still have the EN line tied. It would still only require three wires.
