where to buy headers for prop proto board?

Hey guys where is everyone buying the header blocks for the prop proto board?? They are for soldering around the prop chip on the proto board
so you can use wires to plug into like on a solderless breadboard??

Try digi-key.com. Search for "headers" or "connectors."

I get mine off ebay. Search for header female. Single row and double row will come up. Very good value - well under 50c each for 40 pins if you get a whole lot.

Maybe somebody should mention what is the hole spacing and hole size on the protoboard. I'm fairly sure the holes are spaced 0.1 inch, but I don't know the maximum allowable pin diameter that can fit into those holes. I've never used headers on the protoboard myself, but I have been burned by ignoring hole sizes when designing a PCB. These are important specifications when ordering headers.

FWIW, standard 0.064" square headers (0.1" spacing) fit OK. I'd say that it was designed to take them, and the matching sockets.

I was about to post that, W9GFO. That is where I get mine. Although I occasionaly get them at sparkfun.
