propeller professional development board - first steps

hi,
today i have buy this board, i have experciences with the proto-board and servo-controlling.
now i am a little
i would test the board, but nothings goes
- power : 9 volt
- usb-connections OK = ide = propeller on com 3
- power on = blue led is ON
- run a little program with the propTerminal.exe from andy schenk
- with PC_keyboard, and a terminal-window on winXP
- download of the program ok - leds RX,TX blinks
- but nothing happened, only when i make keypressed <1> on usbLed blinking
- but no responses.
now i looking for some helps: tricks ...... have somebody experience with this board, or first-steps

there a lot of other possabilities to test the board.
Using a simple program that just sends "Hello World" over the serial connection on PIN 31,30
Using a wire and connect an IO-Pin to a LED on the PPDB and make the LED blink
to mention the obvious:
- did you load the program to the EEPROM ?
PropTerminal causes a reset of you open the com-port of PropTerminal
- did you click on options - Com enabled ?
the checksign has to in front of Com enabled not in front of Pause
