Beat Sequencer

I dreamed this up right before French class today. Was fairly easy to make, took a little over two solid hours to make after I got home.

It is a full fledged beat sequencer for the Propeller Demo Board! You need a keyboard and an NTSC television to use it. The controls are simple, they are commented in the top of the main file.

This is supposed to be a template for other beat sequencers, there are suggestions of modifications in the source file as well.

One note, I modified the ai_generic television code to allow poking characters in the screen buffer and also getting characters from the buffer, so don't use the original one for this.

    Neat program..

A couple of ideas for you..

How about an adjustable delay during playback?

Also, now that the Hydra CD is freely distributable there is a really nice sound
object in the sources that will allow you more flexibility over sound, maybe
    even some white noise. :)

I did think of making the delay adjustable, but my younger brother wanted to play on the computer so I had to cut it short. Right now I'm in school but later today I'm going to try and get the HSS and the VocalTract working as well as adding menus to adjust the delay and other things. I could probably also increase the length of the song by a lot, because it takes up very little memory, but it would require some sort of scrolling routine that I haven't worked out yet.

Might also be cool to allow two things to be stored for the song, a pitch and a string, so that it can use the Vocal Object to do txt-to-speech and sing the song :D
