Industrial LCD bezel and keypad?

I want to power it with a prop, not some preconfigured setup.

I've used those AutoDirect displays. Graphics are developed in the free, easy to use softeware.

My application had the display driven serially off the plc comm port. Doing it on a Stamp should be possible but not trivial. As you probably know, the display registers get mapped to the plc registers and the data is exchanged at the end of the scan cycle.

Also, I haven't used them, but Comfile Technologies has some really nice display products as well, may be a bit pricey for experimentation.

Really I want direct access to the lcd pins. I would rather develop a complete system rather than try to marry two incompatible systems.
