Anyone here seen/have one of Brilldea's 3 in LCD units www.brilldea.com/product_30LCDanddriver.html

For the $45 USD (plus shipping ) its a neat idea for a portable device..

I'd love to hear if anyone is using it.. I think it would be great with the YBOX2 plus some mods.

Pocket Doggy Kong Anyone?

Yep, it's been discussed at great length here:

I've got one that I've been playing around with, and it's very nice. No pictures to post yet though.

KPR it's a great little device, with an excellent clear diplay, well worth the investment! :)

KPR, they are great little displays, really really clear, it is the perfect companion for a Prop setup yeah.gif

Taking into consideration they are rendering a composite input I was particularly impressed by how well the driver board handled everything I threw at it.

I run a Security CCTV company and my engineering staff were very impressed and let me tell you it needs a lot to impress them lol

I also have to say how good Brillidea's customer service is, I had a stuck pixel on the one I bought, I asked Timothy if there was a way to fix it and he very kindly sent me a replacement straight away.

    How good is that?

    Regards,

    Coley

I bought 2. Superb device. Very clear and crisp. I use one on my demo board and total between the two devices·takes up less than a square foot of space next to my laptop.
Timothy and his lovley wife are a pleasure to deal with, not to mention I have experienced 7 days or less shipping to the states.

I'm looking at his PropBlade and LED Painter for an upcoming job. Looks like what the doctor ordered!

Thanks for bringing this display into my mind. I was just looking for a nice color display, but was only aware of the monochrome display of brilldae.

Agree. Got mine fast. It is hard to believe that it is working off of a composite signal. Not the easiest thing to mount, but very economical and powerful compared to many of the serial LCDs out there.
