MLX90614 IR Thermometer

I NEED help with the MLX90614.· I plugged in the thermometer and it doesn’t work….
First I don’t understand electronics.· Second I don’t know how to write code.
After completing the “what’s a microcontroller” I thought that I would use the PDB to control a few sensors for an engineering project I’m working on.· I’m a ME not and EE.· I figured that if I could make individual components work on my recently purchased homework board I could get them to work on my brand new PDB.· However I can’t figure out how to make the thing work on the homework board.·

I built what I believe to be the proper circuit and used example code provided on the parallax web page.· When I click run no temperature is displayed and I get a PEC Test …”Fail”…

I just want to measure the temperature of my finger!!!

Post your code and a copy of your schematic using the Attachment Manager and you should get some help.
