How is it going everyone I am new to this forum and I have a dilema.

I am in need of a project using a microcontroller and I have a deadline of beginning of may, now I was thinkign about the sequential tail light idea what do you guys think of this project difficulty and maybe if someone can help me with a certain microcontroller to use. I just wawnt the tail lights to cycle when you hit the brake to light up but when you turn on your turn signal it cycles from right to left or left to right depending on the way you turn.

Any ideas, and turst me everything is greatly appreciated considering I am in·a bind.

Thanks everyone in advance.

You don't necessarily need a uC to achieve this goal. Some TTL chips can do what you are explaining. You can use a Stamp for this as well, the BS2 is a good choice because the BS1 has limited outputs, though you could be creative in this application.

The reason I want to use a uC is because my class requires one. Do you thin ka PIC or PICAXE will work?

I know a basic stamp will work.

Like I said the BS1 only has 8 I/O pins so you will have to get creative controlling break lights, and turn signals the way you described in the first post.
