is there anything I can buy to expand my bs2 pin capacity?

Hey, I have a basic stamp board of education with a BS2 microchip.

Is there anything i can buy that will allow me to have extra pins for it, as i want to expand my project and make it bigger, but i only have 2 pins left. Thanks,

    If you need simple output (high or low) or simple input (detecting if its high or low) there are chips called Serial to Parallel (for output) and Parallel to Serial available.
    These take... I THINK 4 pins and give you 8 so its worth it.

    There are other options as well... If you want to tell us about your project, maybe we can help you eliminate some pins or figure out another way to do things.

    try a data selector, and extra code to run it.

    The Stampworks manual shows how to connect a 74HC595 chip to get 8 outputs using 3 Stamp pins. Stampworks also shows how to connect a 74HC165 chip to get 8 inputs using 3 Stamp pins. Download Stampworks here www.parallax.com/Portals/0/Downloads/docs/books/sw/Web-SW-v2.1.pdf
