Noob question :)

Hello.

just got my stamp. played with some servo func. now im trying to read a encoder off of a stepper motor. just wondering if this possible.

its a Single-end encoder 5+v http://www.anaheimautomation.com/manuals\L010389 - Single Ended Miniature Encoder Without Index.pdf.

Thats the pdf for the encoder. im just wondering if the BOE rev D can read a signal from this and if so. how do i do it?

stepper motors are use for position control or precision movements. so if you are running it from your program just count the pulses sent to the stepper motor.
