Best usb adapter for EmbeddedBlue Transceiver AppMod

Does anyone have a recommendation for a usb adapter to use on my laptop to get the longest range with the EmbeddedBlue Transceiver AppMod? They all say 10 or `100 metters but I read in real life it is very deferent from one brand to another.
