Mystery Sale and Internet time

I like the idea of the Mystery Sale thing, but at the same time, am sad, for there was no way to participate. Doesn't look like it lasted the full five hours. Which is to be expected, but a good deal of people aren't tied to twitter, facebook, or the internet most of the time. My job as a telecom/data tech I'm mostly out in the field, with no access, till I come home. Any other way would be too expensive. Maybe start at 5 pm pacific, to allow people to come home, or something?
To me, I hate the idea of being pushed to always be connected, to me, the push is expensive in cost, and people's idea of how much time should pass to solve a puzzle. Look at CSI , and what jurors think.

'Pacific time' or 'Central time' doesn't really mean anything...
It's almost as annoying as 'free shipping' weekends...
(I don't think that's valid for across the atlantic?)

How about a puzzle that requires some time to solve. Once the
committed number of items is sold, then the answer is revealed for all. Those who
solved the puzzle would be given a small graphic trophy that they could glue to the
corner of their avatar regardless if they bought the item or not. (bragging rights)
