i'm wondering if anyone who knows how to connect two BS2 microcontrollers, using pin 0 and pin 1, could show me a picture of the appropriate wiring that is needed. it would also be great if there was a small program out there that can demonstrate how asynchronous communication using serin and serout commands work.

thank you

There are examples and explanations in the BASIC Stamp Manual chapters on the SERIN and SEROUT statements. There's also a pair of Nuts and Volts Columns on a Stamp network (#s 55 and 56). The Nuts and Volts Column index is found by using the Resources tab on the main Parallax webpage.

You Can also check out the Basic Stamp Supercomputer Project in the completed projects forum.

I got the two BS2's connected and the ABBot is working.· thank you for the advice...i realized my·wiring problem was beans compared to the person who got the supercomputer up and running.· now, i just have to get the 4 by 20 LCD working properly and I'll have finished the project! I'm going to spend some time looking at the code to see if i can figure it out on my own.· thanks again!

    Congratulations with your great success!
I'm happy to hear the supercomputer project could
help with putting two stamps together. I just posted
a new circuit diagram that should help to connect
two or three stamps. I'm also working on some new
software and upgrading the BSS software.
