Hi, i just recently installed a gripper kit for my boe-bot and am having some trouble programming it. I need to know how to make it move whilst gripping the object. Please help me with how to write a program to allow this.
Need to know ASAP (urgently!)

Thanks

What have you tried so far? Can you post your code? BTW, is this a school project that you've waited until the last minute to start? (Yup, 'been there, 'done that.) Nobody will write your program for you, but with some effort on your part, you will still find the forum denizens to be helpful.

Well, u figured out why i asked for help urgently but thankfully enough i managed to write a program that does what i want it to. It took some time but i got it.
Just a question though, is it possible for the boe-bot to use sensors to track an object and then pick it up with
    the gripper??

Bala-K, there are many ways to do that.

What I am planning to do is use a line following module which has the ability to detect a main line and a line intersection. The main line will lead the robot to the object, and a line perpendicular to the main line indicates the object is dead ahead. The robot will then grab the object, turn around, and follow the line to the drop point which is also indicated by another line perpendicular to the main line.

I think the CMU cam can be used as well, but that's more than I want to spend right now.

I think this is another case of the forum software getting years mixed up. This is last year's thread. The OP has probably graduated by now!
