·· Is there an obex for eagle, expresspcb objects?

You might have a look at

But it sure would be nice if Parallax supported its own exchange for such things. I think a boilerplate Propeller file for PCBs would be a good starting point when we need to make PCBs that incorporate the Propeller. If there were a modular system, that would be ideal. Trying to extricate what we need from other people's completed complex designs sorta undoes the convenience factor.

Eagle has a clearinghouse for libraries of components; all the Parallax parts are there (Prop, SX, Stamp, etc):

I like ElectricAye's idea. I worked with a PCB layout package years ago that let you create your own components and add them to the library. The best part was that the component was not limited to a single chip or part. It could be a multicomponent assembly. It was a great time saver to drop an 8080 or Z80 circuit complete with the bus buffers, latches, clock circuit, etc on a board with one click of the mouse.

Is there a standard current packages use that permits such an exchange?

Pulsonix has a function like that - Block Instance. A predefined block or sub-circuit can be inserted into a schematic. Alternatively, a portion of another schematic can be copied and pasted into another design. PCB "patterns" can be applied to several instances of the same sub-circuit, to save time when routing a board.

I started using DipTrace (free version) recently and used the copy/paste to do that for a 16 channel analyzer board. Very nice. I must dig a little deeper to see if it will allow me to save a small board as a component. I am specifically thinking of the circuitry at the heart of the protoboard.

I think that would be an excellent idea. Perhaps another folder in the object exchange. I'd be glad to contribute my ExpressPCB stuff for the prop and Linx products.
